It is currently not possible to set the meta robot fields like no-index from the document type and not the page. This is a problem as you might have a situation where the same document type needs the no-index option on one page but not another.

You are correct. The meta robot fields are only available on document type level and not on page yet. This is something that will be part of the next update, so I'll let you know when it is live.
