First, this cropper is great.
Can you tell me what happens if I upload a large file, say 15MB at high resolution and crop it down? Does it crop down to 72dpi or can you explain how that is working?
Thanks in advance.
I'm responding but am not sure about the resolution... You could try the ImageResizer package.. it does keep the same dpi just modifys the size.

I'm not sure the concept of dpi applies to an on-screen image the cropper lets you specify a target size in pixels wide by pixels high.
I didn't make any special considerations for dpi.
It will overwrite the original large file with the cropped small one.
You could give it a try and see if it does what you want.
