We're currently in the process of selecting a media picker, and it seems that YAMP is the most advanced one.
Unfortunately, we're targetting the upcoming 4.1 release (currently running the beta) and YAMP does not fully like it. Any chance it can be ported to 4.1? We could look into it by ourselves, but we could not find the source code for the latest version. Either it has not been published, or we haven't looked in the right place?
The source code is not available yet and I haven't tested it in Umbraco 4.1 yet. Haven't released the source code yet because it's a bit messy (because I only updated the original source code from Tony Maynard-Smith), but I guess I can still release it. I'll try and do it next week.
@Stephen. Make sure to test the improved media picker in v4.1 too. You can activate it by editing the default media picker under data types (in the developer section).
@Niels: I wasn't aware of the improvements brought to the media picker by 4.1. Tried it, liked it. It looks like it brings everything we need.
@Jeroen: the media picker in 4.1 seems to contain everything we need. That is, everything YAMP does. If that is correct, maybe it is not worth spending time packaging the source code and/or porting to 4.1?
@Niels. Has the Improved media picker changed since it was released as a package for umbraco 4.0.3? In the current release some things are not possible which are in TYAMP like uploading files which aren't images like a pdf or doc file.

@Jeroen: Nope. We're in the process of making heavy changes to the media library for 4.1 so it's on hold
@all: I'm going to use the 4.1 improved media picker for now, and wait for the new 4.1 media library and/or the new YAMP for 4.1...
Thanks!
The source code is now available at http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/tribal-yet-another-media-picker-4.
