i am trying to change the price on the product but it does not reflect on the basket screen! this a huge problem as we need to update all our product prices on our live website!
can somebody please help. This should be a simple function working out the box
Just checked the database the price change is not reflected on there either. Yet it shows on the product screen. But in the checkout process it has the old price. Very confusing.
It is quite normal that prices does not change within the basket/checkout flow, as that could give the customer the incorrect price.
Let’s say you go to a webshop, put a product in your basket and checkout.
In the mean time the editor raises the price of the product and what you pay now is not what you were “promised” when you put the product in your basket.
So not really any bug here, it is the expected behavior of a basket.

Sorry no this is a bug. I am adding the item to the basket after a price change. This should be reflected in the basket.
By what you are saying i can update the product price but when they go to the basket screen it will be the old price. This is wrong.
The current work around i have now is manually going in the database and updating the price in the merchProductVariant table and then having to press save on each product.
Now when i press add to basket the price i see on the product screen is reflected within the basket and checkout process.

Agree, if you change the price and it doesn’t update when you put it in the basket awards, then I agree.
Is merchello currently deprecated now? Or is it worth raising this.
According to GitHub, it is not currently being actively developed.
You can try raise the issue there but not sure whether anyone will do anything about it.
