That sounds like a good idea.. ;) I'm buidling a shop based on Merchello and Epay .. and on a tight schedule, so DKK 1000,- would buy me some time in contrast to developing the provider myself. .;)
That would be really great... the last couple of days I have been developing a small but highly customized shop with Merchello, and I'm REALLY digging it so far.. ;)
Hi everyone - I've started looking into Epay and see there are quite a few different providers and I'm assuming we are not interested in the USAEpay version(s) =)
Can someone posted a link to the API reference that we are implementing so that we are all on the same page?
Thanks Rene. I've started putting the project together and will push it to a feature branch - /Providers/Epay
If there is actually more than one provider (I think you said 8) we could put them all in the same project - so they can be added all at once or as individual projects so the implementer can pick and choose. Sort of like the first one better myself ...
I really happy to be invited to participate in the meetup.
I have started putting together the Epay payment provider project and have signed up for a test account - just waiting for Epay to send me the merchant number and password for my sandbox.
Looking over the documentation, I saw that there were two approaches - I like REST over SOAP and have started down that path.
I think the process will be to wrap the API in a service layer and then build the payment provider and payment method(s) for Merchello. I've also created a EpayProviderSettings object that we can use to configure the provider on the Gateway Provider Activation page in the Merchello back office using Umbraco's dialog service. The actual configuration values will be stored in an "ExtendedDataCollection" which can be optionally encrypted.
The provider is "started" in the Providers/Epay branch but I have not had time to do much more than get the project setup. Hopefully we can get some other people to peck at it as well.
I'm just about to release a webshop for a customer based on Merchello and QuickPay.
I wrote my own payment provider for this, taking off from the source code of the Stripe payment provider. Still my payment provider is different in an essential way.
With Stripe the customer's credit card details actually passes through your code, whereas with QuickPay we only need to worry about a PaymentId from QuickPay, since they are responsible for taking the credit card number.
ePay [DK] works in a very similar way, so it should be possible to modify my payment provider to support ePay [DK] fairly easily.
(You probably already know all this, my point is just that I have a payment provider, which works the common way used in Denmark)
Only thing is my payment provider has not reached a "shareable" version yet. Some parameters are still hardcoded and I need to do some tidying up in the code.
Adding some documentation would also be great, since it works differently from the other payment providers. (As described in my earlier comment)
I didn't feel it was fair to bill the customer for the coding of this payment provider, since it would hopefully be used in other projects too. It was my plan to wait with the finishing touches, until a new Merchello-project turned up.
PaymentProvider - Epay for merchello
Hi
I would like to hear if there are anyone interested in an PaymentProvider for Epay.
I´m in contact with epay and they are interested in developing a provider for payment.
But there have not been any request for this, so it is not free of charge.
If there is anyone interested we could split the cost.
If there are 8, it will cost about 1000 dkk each.
René
Any update on this one ?
Hi Rasmus
No there has been no response.
I do not at the moment have any projects for merchello.
But if we can find some more people to join, i´m ready to pay a part of this.
hey Rene
No biggy, if i get a merchello project I cannot see why we just dont write the provider ourselfs dosnt seem to heavy i guess.
Hi
I have not tryed this before, and i do not have a lot af time at the moment.
But sure it can be done.
René

Hi guys,
If it would help, I could scaffold the provider out so that it resolves (in Merchello) correctly and get you guys going ...
Hi Rusty
That would be really great... the last couple of days I have been developing a small but highly customized shop with Merchello, and I'm REALLY digging it so far.. ;)
I have found some small bugs though.. ;)
/ulrich
Hi Ulrich,
I will work on it this afternoon and put it in the /Plugin/Payments folder in a feature branch (Epay). I'll branch off of 1.6.0.
If you would, please add the bugs to issues.merchello.com so that we can get them on the radar. We've cleared a bunch of them out post 1.5.

Hey Rusty
Hope you had a great christmaes :) is there an update on the epay provider ?
Its quite a deal breaker for us in DK.
Rasmus,

Hey Rusty
Good with an update :),
We are also very interested in a ePay provider, so will follow this thread closely ;-)
Thanks in advance!
+1 for epay provider :)
I would also be VERY interested in seeing an ePay provider for Merchello. Hope it'll be a reality soon :)
Thanks.
+1 for ePay provider :)
Is there still an interest among some of you to go together about getting ePay to develop the plugin?
Hi Joel,
Yes, I'm all in.. ;)
I have been looking into the source code to implement it, but I do not have the time or the skills (to do it the right way).
Please contact me at [email protected] if we should team up to get ePay to develop it.. ;)
/ulrich
I'm also in on this :)
That is at least 3 people. The OP stated that the cost is DKK 8000. Should we start the process?
Jacob and Ulrich, it is great to know you're in on this.
In the meantime I have been in contact with ePay. Sadly they say they're too busy for this in the foreseeable future.
Either we missed our chance of the OP (which was back in July 2014) or one of you guys can try to persuade ePay :)
What do you think?
Hi
I started this for a while ago.. is there any news on this.
Now i bumping in to a project where merchello will be great.
René
Hi René

HI Joel
This is great.
I do not demand it to be Epay. This is only because i usually do use ePay.
It could well be done with QuickPay.
I would be interested.
René
That's good, René.
Only thing is my payment provider has not reached a "shareable" version yet. Some parameters are still hardcoded and I need to do some tidying up in the code.

When will you need the payment provider?
Hi Joel,
That sounds really interesting... ;)
I'm also on the verge of some projects where I would like to use Merchello with ePay ... or QuickPay (my clients prefer ePay).
When will you release your provider?
Ulrich
Hi Ulrich
Nice to know you're interested in it as well. This motivates me even more to get it done.
I'll see what I can do.
Joel
Hi Joel, It is nice to hear, that things are going better in matter of new payment providers to Merchello.
Do you plan to publish your provider as open source?
Kind regards Thomas
Hi Thomas
Yes, I plan to make it open source. I expect to get around to it soon, now that the summer is about to be over :)
Kind regards, Joel
Hi Joel, Great! I count on it. I'd try to develop payment provider for ePay, but need to have something as "help" :)
Kind regards, Thomas
Hi guys
My QuickPay Payment Provider for Merchello is ready for download. There is even a bit of documentation as well :)

Have fun!
