First up - Merchello looks amazing, I'm looking forward to using it for ecommerce sites. Just wondering if anybody has used it in production for a live website yet? Or is it still too early? I've got an ecommerce project that I'll be starting in the next month or 2 and wondering if Merchello is stable enough to use in production? Or if I should wait until it is more mature? I realise that I'd need to write some code to integrate a payment gateway and shipping provider.
If anyone has examples of Merchello sites that are live then I'd love to see them. Thanks.
Hello, I'm trying to get Merchello up and running to be used in a production environment. Can I use Umbraco version 6.2.1?
Also getting the following error:
Could not load file or assembly 'AutoMapper, Version=3.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The located assembly's manifest definition does not match the assembly reference. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131040)
@James, I am planning on releasing version 1.4.1 today which fixes some bug fixes and then releasing a 1.5.0 version that will include the 1.4.1 bug fixes and the compatibility patch with Umbraco 7.1.7.
In the Merchello repository we already have a 1.5.0 branch, which will be renamed to 1.6.0 which will be published later with some new back office order fulfillment features.
What this issue really brings up, is we are going to need to come up with a better way of publishing version compatibility with Umbraco.
But for now:
Version 1.4.1 (and prior) are compatible with Umbraco 7.0.0 to Umbraco 7.1.6.
Version 1.5.0+ will only be compatible with Umbraco 7.1.7+
@Rusty Thank you, I'll keep note of this post. I'm going to push through with 7.1.6 and current version of Merchello. Have it all up and working, going to review example website next. Planning to populate Merchello shop with our products (tees, cups, pens) etc.. over the next 3-4 months.
Is Merchello ready for production?

I don't know if there are any in production yet but we are working on a Merchello project to be launched in September.
You can get some insights into the creators plans by watching this CG14 presentation: http://stream.umbraco.org/video/9956477/the-secret-to-getting-paid-for-your-open
We should designate an 'official' hashtag for Merchello launches (like #umblaunch is for Umbraco launches).

Hi James,
Merchello is only designed for Umbraco 7.1.x. http://our.umbraco.org/projects/collaboration/merchello and http://www.merchello.com/. On this year Codegarden the people behind the Merchello did a session, if you donĀ“t were to Codegarden 14, then you can see the session here. Merchello: Open Source eCommerce for Umbraco 7

Okay, great. I'll start installing Umbraco 7. Thank you.
FYI, Umbraco 7.1.7 introduced a change to an Interface that Merchello uses. See http://our.umbraco.org/projects/collaboration/merchello/merchello/57090-TypeLoadException-when-installing-140-onto-717 I believe this will be resolved very soon.
Okay, yup, getting the error. Going to go back a version, 7.1.6.

Appreciate reply and updates.
ProWorks recently launched this site with Merchello: https://www.cedartreetechnologies.com/
That's the first one in the wild that I know about off the top of my head.
@Kyle Looks cool!
is working on a reply...
