Error installing - Files missing (?)

    Hi everyone

I've just tried to install Merchello 1.4.0 in Umbraco 7.1.4. The installation went fine, but when I tried to access Merchello in the menu tree, all nodes were empty.

It looks like most of the files were not installed correctly, for instance all Merchello-related files in /views/ and /App_Plugins/ are missing.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi SGB,

Yeah if you just installed the Merchello 1.4.0, you will just get the framework to build a webshop in Merchello. The people behind the Merchello project has made a starter kit site, but you should be aware, that it´s not package that you can install in the traditional way that you install other Umbraco packages to your installation.

The Merchello starter kit example site is a little website project that should fire right up in IIS Express. We've included the database (databases.zip) inside the Merchello.ExampleSite.zip file which also has a scripted Sql Server database and a Sql Server 2008 .bak.

    Umbraco admin users:

    Username: admin
    Password: 1234

So what you could do was setting up two sites, on for your version of your shop, where you have installed Merchello 1.4.0, and another installation where you setup the starter kit site where you can learn and copy from.

You can find the The Merchello starter kit example site here http://our.umbraco.org/projects/collaboration/merchello if you roll a little bit down on the site there is a zip file named: merchello_1.1.0_example.site.zip

    Hope this helps,

    /Dennis

    Hi Dennis

Thank you so much - I'll try setting up the starter kit :-)
