I have just upgraded to Merchello 1.7.0 and from what I've seen so far it looks like a great update!
The only issue I'm having is that the 'Product Editor' property editor doesn't display at all now. For products already setup it just shows a Guid and for new products it doesn't show anything.
Is there anything in the update that might cause this or have I missed some files from somewhere?
I used the Update from 1.6.x to 1.7.0 available through our.umbraco.
DId you figure this out David? I did a clean 7.2.2 install and added Merchello 1.7, and the product editor is not i in the list of property editors when I try to creadte the data type.
Tommy, I have just done a clean install of 7.2.2 and Merchello 1.8 and I can confirm that it doesn't include the 'Product Editor' property editor any more.
I have double checked the package manifest of both 1.7 and 1.8 version of Merchello and they don't contain a reference to the 'Product Editor' property editor.
Rusty what is the reasoning for removing the product editor? I think in terms of user experience it feels much cleaner if a user can go to a node that represents a product in the content section and edit the Merchello information from there.
Got a reply from Rusty Swayne (https://twitter.com/rustyswayne) and he says: "I did remove the product editor in 1.7.0 as it was not going to work in the future with some of the product refactoring we will do."
