    Merchello Installation Issue

I have tried to install Merchello several times without success. Here's the process I'm using:-

    • I create a new empty in ASP.NET Web Application (.NET Framework 4.5.2) in Visual Studio 2017.
    • I use NuGet Package Manager to install Umbraco CMS 7.7.6.
    • I build and run the installation.
    • I complete the Umbraco setup process including database creation without the starter website.
    • I install the Merchello 2.6.0 Package via the Umbraco Dashboard Developer section and it fails to install with the following displayed errors prior to hanging on the 'Restarting, please wait...' screen: Error 1

I've repeated the above process using different databases:

    • Microsoft SQL Server Compact (SQL CE) database Microsoft SQL Server
    • (LocalDB)\MSSQLLocalDB created using SSMS 2014 which created a SQL Server 2012 compatible database using integrated authentication.

I think the package available via the above method, i.e. the Umbraco Dashboard Developer section, appears to be FastTrack and not, in fact, Merchello.

I downloaded and installed the package zip file successfully from the website.

Can someone sort that package link in the Developer package section for future use please?

Yen, a similar issue. Tried 3 times 3 different ways. So I had to do the Merchello .zip install from Local and not from the package store.

So more or less you download the Merchello.zip first and then download the FastTrack.zip next and then go into Umbraco Developer and Packages, and "Install Local", and upload the Merchello.zip first and install that, then install the FastTrack.zip from local.

Database configuration should be fine for local or MSSQL. I did the built in SQLCE database. Works fine.

    Donald,

You need to install merchello and fasttrack from the zip files. I had the same issue you're facing. Here's a link: https://merchello.readme.io/docs/installation#package-installation
