    Tags import wierdness

    Using CMSImport
    Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    Just imported a load of Blog posts. All successful except for Tags. Instead of importing a single tag "Organisational Development" I get a tag for each letter plus a comma between each original tag. I don't see any special settings for Tags in the import mapping screen. I'm importing from an Umbraco 7.5.4 Database into a 7.12.4 site.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Hi Craig,

    You might want to check the settings of your tag data type. It looks like you're old site (or the CMSImport format) is using CSV, whereas your new site might be set to store it in JSON format (which I think is the new default format).

    You probably want to make sure it matches between your old and new site.

    Hi Tom,

    The old site is using the umbraco.Tags dataType as is the new site. Having just looked at the documentation for it, you're right. You can set the storage format in the set up. I just changed the new one to CSV to match the old one and it totally fixed the problem. Didn't even have to re-import.
