    Base framework version

Hey guys - first of all well done on an excellent learning resource.  Also FYI now that your UK fest video is published, you should add the link to the project page so other Umbracians can get a sense of it before install:

Are you still planning to release a base framework version without the best practice project resources?  That would be really useful as a quick start baseline for MVC Umbraco projects, esp if it was kept up to date with any package updates.

Also, I was chatting to Dan Bramall at umbBristol and he did a demo of a version with DAMP, CropUp, Slimmage all working nicely with a free / opensource image disk caching solution.  Would be great to get that included, happy to contribute!

    Hello,

The video was published already on 28 November and it has been on the project page since then ;-).

I'm still planing on releasing a base framework, but that will probably have to wait until we have a new version of the Hybrid Framwork that works with Umbraco 7.1. The 7.1 version will use the new Image Cropper so the responsive image solution will be updated with that.

Thanks Jeroen, looking forward to that.

One other question, in the UK fest video there was talk of a dashboard control(?) that checks if there are any updates to the installed packages available.  THis would be super handy, is that in the project?  Or do you know how I can add it?  I could not find anything listed in the framework.

    Hello,

That was probably a tool that Jeavon used. Not all tools that Jeavon is using are part of the framework.
