Umport Not appearing in the developer section

    Hi.

What am I doing wrong? Installed the package. I can see it in the installed packages. I can see the .dll is in the folder on the server, but no indication of it in the application. I've restarted the web service and refreshed my browser. Am I missing a trick? I'm expecting the Umport tab somewhere next to the Examine Management tab.

    Umbraco 7.2, IIS 7.5

    Hi Leon

What does your /config/applications.config and /config/trees.config look like?

    Hi Jan.

Not sure what I did, but I've installed it on my dev environment now and it seems to work. Will just deploy to test and hopefully that will sort it.

    Hi Leon

No one mentioned anything about changing those files? ;-) I just wanted to see them - Usually if a new section is added it's setup in these config files. So just wanted to check if they looked right - But it should happen automatically.

But coming to think of it it should be irrelevant since this package should install a dashboard in the "developer" section if I'm correct. But if for some reason the dashboard is not showing up it's a good idea to check the /config/Dashboard.config instead and see if it's been added properly.

Sometimes things are not added if for instance permissions to write to the /config/ folder is not sufficient etc. etc.

But sounds like you have got things working now? :)

    Hi Jan.

Something you said got me thinking. The permissions to write to the config folder. My web folder only gives the iis apppool and me full control. This is so I can do a deploy from Visual Studio to the remote file share. Do you think I need to apply any other permissions to the web folder?

    Hi Leon

I think you should try giving full control to the network service and the iusr, which is also mentioned here https://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Installation/permissions

    Hope this might help? :)
