FIXED - Reported installation issues fixed with v1.1.2
There is a very interesting discussion about GDPR and Umbraco on the Our Umbraco forums, and I highly recommend you read up about the wider context of supporting compliance for your customers. uMunge aims to fix just one piece of the puzzle:
As part of this discussion, it was brought to our attention that version 1.1.1 was erroring upon installation with a generic YSOD. Whilst we couldn't replicate the issue directly, we suspect our use of a 3rd party obfuscation component may be causing the problem.
The latest version (1.1.2) removes this component and should fix this.
