Very quick question, I'm pretty sure I know the answer but just wanted to double check. Does uSync have the power to modify your css files?
I read this "*uSync syncs the database bits of stylesheets and templates (so the tree and the stylesheet propertyeditor values) – you still need to copy the css and masterpages/view folders" which makes me think no.
But I've had strange issues of my style.css being emptied, no data actually lost so no causing any big problems. Just trying to work out what is causing it :)
If you are syncing a stylesheet that doesn't exist on the target site then uSync (and the Umbraco Import API really) will create that stylesheet file, and then use the contents of the *.config file as the basis for that file.
but if the stylesheet alreadt exists then uSync will not alter the contents, all it is syncing in that instance is the ID that is stored in the DB for the stylesheet.
Can uSync modify css files?
