    How to only use uSync for Source Control?

    uSync
    Umbraco 7

    Hi,

    I was thinking of just using uSync for source control. I was going to use uSync and the uSync.ContentEdition, but I don't want to automatically import anything. I just want to use it for source control and if I need to do any import, I would run it manually. What would I need to configure on the backoffice dashboard the the usync config file to accomplish this?

    Hi yes

    just set import = false in the uSyncBackOffice.config file and nothing will get imported unless you do it via the dashboard

    Hi Kevin,

    Just want to make sure. When I applied the change, it set the Setup to "Sync Source". Seems like that is correct. Is the same configuration for the uSync.ContentEdition as well?

    yes,

    content edition uses the same settings (it's just extra handlers, the back office bit does all the work)
