Hi I have data types, templates ect on umbraco 7 project that I would like to import to umbraco 8. We are using usync 4 and was wondering is it possible to import these into a newer umbraco 8 project that is using usync 8.

sorry in uSync the file formats are not compatible between Umbraco 4/7 and Umbraco 8.
this is mainly due to us cleaning things up, and internal changes in how Umbraco stores things.
However they are very close, so you might be able to do some manipulation of things between versions, but there are so many little things like compatible property/data types that this could be quite an installation specific to work - we are waiting for the Migration tool that will be part of Umbraco 8.1
