Without a doubt this is a great package & saves alot of time. I think it should be pre-installed on umbraco like joomla has similar feature you just need to activate it. Anyways there are couple of errors I am facing in:
1. Member Profile does not seem to be working. The best I could get my tweaking around with the macro while including in template is to update email but I also wish to update the generic properties & password, which it is not showing. All the generic fields are set to "Member can edit".
2. Forgot username/password option should be included while Login when a member fails to login.
3. I tried Forgot username, forgot password & logout & all three gave me error sayingsomething like: Error creating control (/usercontrols/osMemberControls/MemberForgotPassword.ascx) I re-checked the folder /usercontrols/osMemberControls & all the usercontrols are present there. I dont know what could be a possible reason for error.
I agree it's a great package. But I must say that the only part I am use is the edit profile. It works much better to use the standard controls for login, logout and forgot password. In fact it's very easy to use the asp.login functions. Even for a non-asp.net programmer like me.
I created this control but unforunately I haven't looked at it in a very long time. You say the profile edit doesn't work? Is there an error? Have you ticked "Allow Member To Edit" and "Show on Profile" on the Membertype?
Hi Skiltz, I was getting error I dont know why but now I fixed it I think I was getting error coz I din't redirect the page back to the member profile page.
Would you be able to fix the other two issues/suggestions?
The forgot password & password recovery are just using the standard .NET membership controls so can be configured to work however you want. I have had them working on localhost and deployed without any issues. Can you be more specific what the problem is?
facing few issues

I would appreciate if I can get a solution from the creator of the package. I did not find any documentation of the package other than http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/using-the-osmembercontrols-%28v01-code-set-39984%29
I apologize for any silly question. I am a newbie to umbraco & coding.
Thanks alot guys :)

For me even the edit profile isn't working. I wish the developer of this package would respond. May be I am missing something :(

any success with forgot password & forgot username??
I am unable to figure out how to use since I am testing on localhost on my PC and asp.net passwordrecovery wont allow me to get the password
Hi Vineet,
I added some documentation to the wiki for this package - I hope it can help you: http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/using-the-osmembercontrols-%28v01-code-set-39984%29
