This package only tracks items which are in the media section. If your banners aren't there it won't track them. It has a simple .js file which you can change so it can track other items too.
This package is rather old. The javascript is probably outdated. I haven't used this in a while because our IM department takes care of these things now.
How to view results in analytics
Where do i see the stats in google analytics. I've tried searching for the tracking label, but nothing comes up...
A small guide would be nice :)
Hello,
You can find it by going to following path: Content -> Events -> Overview.
There you can see Topevents with Event category, Actions and Labels. I think the actions are the fields you set on your media type.

I found it just after posting here, but the result is not really what i was after...
I was looking to track clicks on banner images, not so much downloads of media... Is there a way to make the package do this?

HI Jeroen,
Love the idea of this project. At the moment however, i seem to be having problems getting it to work.
I have a V6.1.4 Umbraco install.
I have jQuery and have inserted the script to link to the plugin. I've tagged the documents.
When I log into my Google Analytics however I am not able to see any information in my 'events' area.
I'm not sure if the tracking information is being sent to Google after I click on the media item.
If you could assist in anyway that would be fab.
Thanks
Matt
