As I remember it used the language settings to localize the names of weekdays and additional .resx-files to translate the other labels..
Right now the values of the weekdays seem to come directly from the controller javascript file. It might be useful the override the values using keys from the lang xml-files?

However could you take a look at support for multiple language in Umbracos backoffice for the weekdays and the label?
