    Question: Tinifier and/or Post Processor

I'm curious if there is reason to use this if we're already using Post Processor (http://imageprocessor.org/imageprocessor-web/plugins/postprocessor/)? Are they accomplishing the same task or do they compliment one another?

    Thanks

    Hi,

I will install the plugin and compare results this week.

    Thanks, Dmytro

    Hi Dan,

Tinifier optimisation the raw image, by sending it out to tinpng.com via an API call.

Postprocessor optimisation when using the crops, but leaves the raw image as uploaded.

I have used both, they both do a good job I would say that postprocessor does a slightly better job in my opinion, but does take resources from the server unlike tinifier if that is a concern

    They're massively different.

Tinifier will compress your images resulting in better raw storage but as soon as you use the cropper any optimization is lost unless you use the post processor.
