mtt_rotatePro

This Package works from the image mediaType and a mediaPicker on a macro to create a very robust content rotator.

This package utilizes jquery and css.

The package installs...

cycle.js
mtt_rotatatePro.js
mtt_rotatePro.css
an image for the tooltip [stored in /data/mttRotatorProAssets/]
and...
mtt_rotatePro.xslt

the package loads the umbraco jquery file and also references a stored jquery script for the tooltip functionality.

Using the Package..

1. for the xslt macro to inject the code into your head it needs to be set up <head runat="server"> to work.

2. you need to add some properties to your image mediaType...

***IMPORTANT***
you will need to add some properties to your mediaType of image...
this can be edited by going to settings | mediaTypes | image

here are the properties... alias names are listed below...
picHeader [text]
storyDate [datePicker]
storyTeaser [rich text editor]
toolTipText [simple editor]

3. Insert the macro into a template... pick a media folder with images in it with datapoints above filled in...

NOTE: you can edit the size of the rotator etc, just edit the mtt_rotatePro.css file.

i think that covers it all....

Future Updates...
my plan is to work this into a news rotator tied to content vs. media. Stay tuned for that upgrade.

4.5 compatibility...
i just used the AWESOME conversion tool from blackpoiont.dk to convert the xslt to version 4.5 - it is listed as separate download above -- just use that XSLT file and you should be good to go... Let me know!
