    Unlock more than 20 orders

    Hey guys,

I have spent a couple of weeks setting up my own little shop and when I just uploaded the files online to test it out the message suddenly appears

Tea Commerce is running in trial mode - order numbers larger than 20 won't be saved

That message isn't visible locally so I suddenly feel like I've wasted a lot of time. Is it possible only to purchase/unlock more orders? I have to admit 1.299€ exceeds what I can spend and I don't need all those other fancy functionalities, only being able to have more than 20 orders.

    /Mike

Thats a shitty situation, it seems its wasted if that is their trial im afraid if you are not going to upgrade.

Mayber have a look at uCommerce instead it also have a free edition for smaller shops: https://ucommerce.net/platform/ucommerce-for-umbraco

Last time i played around with it, it was really well made maybe your efforts was better spent there?

    Hi Jakob,

Yeah I was afraid you would say that. It's odd why it doesn't say it's a trial version locally. I thought it was a free plugin unless you wanted all the awesome features like discounts and so forth.

Sh... Well, I guess I'd have to start over and look into uCommerce then....

Edit: I found that resetting CurrentOrderNumber in the database to 0 fixes it. But I have a feeling it's a bad thing to do?

If it's not a bad thing to do, could someone perhaps help me figure out how I can reset the CurrentOrderNumber to 0 after each order?

    /Mike

Tea Commerce is a licensed piece of software. The small license fee pays for the development of the software and makes it possible for us to make a great product and run this forum.

I hope you find a solution to your specific problem. :)

MBE im pretty sure that would be violating the TOS :)

Regarding tea commerce, maybe do the same as ucommerce where the limit isnt in orders but by amount of products, then people can test it out with a small amount of products and choose if its for them when they actually put something online and checked everything works out for them they can purchase a license makes for a more organic trial for all parts, the issue being that you would miss out on smaller customers, however you would build a community around your product, which might yield more professional licenses.

I fully understand that Rune and that's why I'm asking if it's possible to purchase a sort of "unlock" to having more orders.

I'd love to stick with Tea commerce and purchase a full license if my "future" shop becomes anything sucessful. I tought it would be worth asking if invidiual upgrades was available :)

    Thanks for the answer though.
