First Comment on uBlogsy Post gives error message

This is a slightly strange error - hopefully there's an easy answer!  I have uCommentsy 2beta, uBlogsy 4.1.2 and umbraco 7.2.6

When I have a blog post and post a first comment (with the subscribe checkbox ticked) against that post, I get an error saying "An error has occurred. Please try again later."

However, the comment is posted correctly.  The only things wrong at this stage are that the error message is displayed to the end user, their subscription request is not populated in the Comment Container node, and the notification emails are not generated.  The comment itself is saved (the same happens whether or not comments are flagged for auto-approval).

When a second or subsequent comment is added, it all goes through fine - notifications are sent successfully, the success message is shown to the end user and the subscription is recorded.

To test further, I tried a new blog post and manually added the Comments Container node in the back end.  That way, the first comment was posted correctly.

So it seems to me that somehow uCommentsy may be falling over by trying to post things to the Comments Container, perhaps before it has been created?  Is that possible, and if so, any ideas for how to fix it?

I've also noticed that in previous versions of uBlogsy (with built-in comments) a new Member Type was required.  I don't see this in the new version - is that correct?  I've tried adding a Member Type to see if that helped, but it made no difference.  If the subscribers aren't stored as members though, where are they stored?  Is it just in the Comments Container?

    Thanks, Allan
