We are using lastes v6 Umbraco - 6.2.6 release. I know that v6 is not any more developed but I see that in branch dev-v6 are new commits (probably very important).
I don't know when we will upgrate our CMS to v7.
For us it is important to work v6 as good as possible and we are interested in any improvements which are affected with this version.
The 'master-x' branch is the baseline branch for a given major version and is the stable version of the current release. The 'dev-x' branch is the current development branch for a given major version. Any time a new version of Umbraco is released, the 'dev-x' branch will be tagged at the revision of the release with the release name and merged in to the 'master-x' branch.
Unfortunately master-v6 branch is very different from dev-v6.
I need to work with latest stable code as:
If you want to work with the latest stable released code, you should clone the 'master-x' branch.
but the last commit in master-v7 is affected with 6.2.4 release.
I will be glad if this v6 branches will be fixed (correctly merged) and finished.
I have developed some improvements for v6 maybe I can then create pull requests.
