Source Code Overview/Documentation

Hi all you great developers,

I would like to know, if there is anywhere, an overview of the umbraco cms source code, describing the solution/packages/service etc. so that you can get an overview of where to start, when beginning to develop packages for the great umbraco platform.

I was thinking of putting together a common boilerplate that other devs can start their development from. I think also including an unofficial guide will be a good thing.
