We are currently evaluating a couple CMS-systems. Drupal offers everything we need, but we are very worried about the performance. The site needs to be fast and Umbraco seems to fit the bill.
Does anybody know what kind of budget is needed to make a site like wired.co.uk ? and could a non-technical person maintain such a site ? or do you need a hot line with your developer ?
Another question: joomla and drupal work with module positions and blocks/regions, so you can move easily things around on your website. Does Umbraco templates offer something like that as well ?
If I'm not mistaken you could also use the new "macro container" datatype to achieve that task as well - but the tree picker is probably the most flexible way to do it at Thomas is mentioning.

Hi all,

Thanks in advance for your help
Mark.
I think it was around $10 - $50, but I didn't work on the project and may be a little bit off
Hehe :-)
Well, you could easily work with modules.
I would recommend to look at the new Tree Picker that Shannon won the Package contest with in CG10.
With that you can pick what content you like and include on a page.
