Ok. fixed it. Server needed a reboot. I am guessing that means it was some kind of caching issue. I am low on RAM for this VPS so that may also be related. For those running a 2008 VPS, you really do need 2GB+ (I'm being stingy at 1.5GB).
Thanks Daniel, You are right, it has been a recurring problem and I have since figured that out also :) I *think* this problem can cause this is changing domains haphazardly..
Images not loading in backend/admin section
Hello there,
I am seeing some rather strange behaviour in my umbraco install. I can describe it as follows;
- Works fine on my windows XP machine
- Works fine on my windows Server machine (same one it is being served off).
- Does not work on my windows Vista machine
- I get an upgrade available notice even though I am running 4.5.1 (clean install yesterday, or at least so I thought)
This is what my backend looks like on the vista machine. As you can see the images in the section panel (bottom left) are missing.
Things that I have tried;
- Cleared the browser cache on vista machine
- Rebooted (several times :))
- Recycled the app pool in IIS
- Restarted IIS
- Checked the IIS cache using (netsh http show cache). It reports empty but to be honest I don't understand this command.
- Tried changing the URL and bindings (I am accessing by putting entries in my Hosts file)
- Closed my AntiVirus (Kaspersky)
- Used different browsers (Opera, Chrome, Firefox...and last and err least, Internet Explorer)
- Banged my head on the desk repeatedy :)

I hope this post may help someone one day :)
Thank you for reading.
It's the ClientDependancyCache... reboot should reset it, but next time simpley empty the folder located at /App_Data/ClientDependancyCache
