Alternativley, why not buy a subscription to http://umbraco.tv? That is full of awesome videos to get you started, many of what are covered in the training (and it's currently available for 3 months for the price of 1. Bargain!)

The training I did with Doug was awesome, but if you can't get to a training class, umbraco.tv is definately your next best bet.
