i couldn't really find any "best practice" advice for migrating incremental changes from a one environment to the next (i.e. dev to test) so im using a package to wrap up all document types... i'll use a file management tool to migrate all other files.

only trouble is the package doesn't seem to include the document types i've selected, even after numerous 'save and publish' attempts. Also, if i change the version number and republish, then this isn't reflected in the file name.

im doing this on the premise that when i run the package and install the document types if will overwrite any existing ones with the same alias rather than duplicating. is that how it works?

PS This area of Umbraco seems seriously flakey. im using 4.0.2.1 and can't really upgrade to 4.5.1 right now
