We are running Umbraco and have followed some instructions on how to make a custom 404 error, however the error is currently only working for .aspx files. If tested on .php files or a folder it uses the default 404 error page.
How do we make our new 404 error page work for everything?
Custom 404 error only working for .aspx files?
Hi,

How do we make our new 404 error page work for everything?
Thanks,

Max, did you find a solution? It appears there is no one way to resolve this.
Hi Connie,
In the end we got our website host to configure IIS to use our custom umbraco 404 pages.
There were some warnings that doing it this way would slow down the page loading times but we have not noticed any difference doing it this way.
Hope that helps!
Max.
