    Down-grading help??

    Hi,

After almost 30 successful CMS and app deployments over the past few years with umbraco i have to say i am a little lost.I switched to wordpress a year ago as v4 just wasn't working solidly enough for me but i am now back...

I am currently working on a new project which i have selected Umbraco for and was finding everything ok, even porting my old xslt over to the new schema not such a headache but i have now hit major issues. I rely heavily on the  imagegen and treemultipicker, not to mention a few others. I am running v 4.5.1 but just found out they are not supported. Will i have to downgrade to 4??  This site needs to be delivered next week!

ImageGen works in 4.5.1 from what I understand.

But as for downgrading, I hope you have a backup from before the upgrade, there was a lot of DB improvements in 4.5 and I wouldn't know where to start to remove them :/

It wasn't an upgrade it was a fresh install/build on 4.5.1, a really don't want to downgrade, it would be hell.

I have successfully installed imageGen now but have not tested it fully yet. Do you know if anyone has ported treemultipicker to 4.5 yet?. I have found here>

    http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/tree-multi-picker/tree-multi-picker-general/11148-is-this-wicked-package-compatible-with-umbraco-451

and installed the gecko picker version which will have to do for now, but the client has requested image previews so will need an alternative.

There are a lot of add ons for umbraco now...  It looks like thing could take a while to catch up with 4.5

    thanks. Howard

I'd go with the one from uComponents (release is targetting this week I believe they are saying), it's really looking sexy.

    Here's a list of what does and doesn't work with 4.5: http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/reference/packaging/umbraco-45-compatibility/umbraco-45-package-testing

    Hi,

I will have a look at that!

Thomas R posted a migrated treemultipicker dll, but i couldn't get it to work (if someone can try it that would be perfect) so then used the Gecko Picker which is unreleased but did the trick. Link to post here>
