Home page 404 errors running 4.5.2 in virtual directory

    Hi all,

Hoping someone can help me with this as have been on it for a few days now to no avail.

I have an Umbraco 4.5.2 installation in a virtual directory uk. The hostname on the root content node is set to foo (actually a valid TLD but currently on internal staging server will use foo throughout here). URLs on the site thus have the form http://foo/uk/xxx

I am experiencing two problems (possibly related?):

    (i) I have a structure like this

    Home
       -> About Us

The About Us page is fine. Under properties Umbraco correctly shows:

    Link to document: /uk/about-us
    Alternative Links: http://foo/uk/about-us

    However, for Home it shows:

    Link to document: /uk/home
    Alternative Links: http://foo

Note how the alternative link is missing the /uk even.

Moreover accessing http://foo/uk returns a 404 so this "default" page is not being found. Accessing http://foo/uk/home works fine but obviously I'd like the home page not to need /home at the end.

Any ideas what might be causing this? I have tried republishing the site.

(ii) On any node right-clicking and choosing Edit in Canvas bring up a new window with URL like http://foo/1162.aspx and 404s as it is again missing out the /uk.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi.

Just to say I am facing the same problem.

After going through a series of hurdles getting umbraco working in a virtual directory, now I find Canvas does not work...

For some reason, when opening canvas all urls are absolute: host/nodeid. All structure is lost...

Maybe there's something we can do in one of the config files?

    Thanks,

    Duarte
