Can I use Umbraco for a commercial website without a Pro license?
Hello all,
After perusing Umbraco.com for a few months, I have become interested enough in the technology that I *think* I would like to use it as the CMS for the website project I am working on. What I am unsure of is what exactly does open source mean in relation to Umbraco? If I use the source from CodePlex, what license is attached to that codebase? My confusion stems from the fact that the umbraco.com site is advertizing "Pro" builds with a commercial license.
What restrictions are placed upon the non-"Pro" code base?
Thank you,
Shaun
"I don't need any support, tools or rebranding, I just want to build a website
Umbraco is open source and absolutely free for anyone to use. So if you don't need the developer tools or support, then you are free to just use the open source version, free of charge "

Yes. It is being used on many commercial sites.
