Is this a known issue at all? - content reverted to previous version

Shirtly before go-live, one of our clients is reporting that content fields on one node on the site has reverted to the values that were entered as dummy text (lorem ipsum, etc.).

The version history is showing no versions with any values other than the lorem ipsum. I'm not seeing the node in the recycle bin, either.

Just to clarify, this is in the CMS itself, not just on the website.

Is there any known bug or issue that could have caused versions to vanish in the way the client describes?

    Thanks in advance,

    Andrew

What's in the umbraco.config XML cache?

Are there any errors in the log table?

Have you got a backup of the database?

Are you sure it's pointing to the right database?

What's in the umbraco.config XML cache?

The lorem ipsum that is being displayed on the page is what's in the xml file.

Are there any errors in the log table?

There are no errors showing that would appear to have any connection to this node, apart from its publication.

Have you got a backup of the database?

Yes, though I'm waiting to hear from the client on when they saw it with the correct content.

Are you sure it's pointing to the right database?

Absolutely - the rest of the site is without any kind of problem.

I'm mostly just trying to establish if there could be any cause other than user error.
