I don't know if this is the place to report bugs, but in my Umbraco 4.5.2 installation, I created an xslt-file in the Development section:
newsListHomepage
afterwards, I renamed the file to newsListHomePage in the Filename textfield. After saving, my xslt file was gone, also after reloading the nodes. I checked the 'xslt' folder on my my filesystem, and also there the file was gone.
The only thing that was left of my renamed xslt-file was the macro created.
xslt-file disappears after renaming

Hi Anthony
Have you found a solution for this? It does indeed sound like it's a bug. Is there any chance that you can update the the umbraco installation?

Err I think this just happened to me as well in 4.7.
Damn!
Julian
Anyone know if there is any way back from here?
