    Media Section missing from admin

    General

    Hi all,

    Was wondering if this issue has been encountered before.

    The Media icon in the sections part of the admin dashboard is no longer there.

    Also there is no longer a media checkbox in the user permissions section.

    Is there a quick way to resolve this?

    Hi Henrik

    What version of Umbraco do you experience this on? And have there been done any modifications to the instance lately? Is it only the media section you experience this with or are other areas behaving weird as well?

    Hi Jan,

    It's 4.6.

    No major changes that I can think of. All that we've been doing so far is modifying templates and macros.

    Everything else appears to be OK.

    Ok found out what the problem was (fresh pair of eyes and all that).

    Turns out Umbraco wasn't giving media permissions to users by default. Modified permissions in the database and now can see the media section and the checkbox is there in the user permissions area.
