    Data entry Forms

    Hi

What is the best way of creating data entry forms in Umbraco. The content that would be entered will be Text, and images will be also shown. There might be file upload also required.

    Many thanks

    Faiyaz

Just wanted to let you know, i dont want these to be stored as Umbraco documents, but I want to store them in database fields in an independent non umbraco table.

    Thanks

    Hi Faiyaz,

have a look at Umbraco's Pro tool Contour: http://our.umbraco.org/projects/umbraco-pro/contour.

You can test it out for free in your local environment.

    Hope that helps,

    Sascha

Thanks sascha. Is the content of these forms produced by contour searcheable ? Can we have the SQL server index catalog on it ?

I am pretty sure that's it's a yes for both questions (although the second one might not be as straightforward due to the way Contour organizes it's data). Maybe it's a good idea to install it on a test Umbraco installation and have a look at the database?
