    Setting Default Node

    Hello there,

I am struggeling to figure out how to layout my content tree structure. I currently have it set as per the image below.

This presents a problem. I want the 2nd level"Rabbit Web" node to be the home page.

I have tried using the UmbracoInternalRedirectId as described here: http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/reference/umbraco-best-practices/umbracointernalredirectid however this does not seem to work on the Home node (it works on every page but that one for test purposes).

I could move the "Rabbit Web" node back one level. This presents problems with my navigation and needing to fix my XSLT, which I don't really like.

I could ditch the "Home" node so that the "rabbit web" becomes the default node anyway, which, is what I like, but that's not possible. That "Home" node is kind of redundent and currently performs no function.

I was wondering how everyone else deals with this?

Thank you kindly for your thoughts.

Have a look at my blog post about the "ultimate" umbraco site structure, you're doing it right, the tips there should help you finish this.

Thanks Sebatiaan. Nice blog post. I had a break from the computer yesterday, I came back today and it worked! Go figure :) I am using your method. Thank you again!
