Updating document types from dev server to live site
What it the best way to move updated document types from the development server to the live server? Our user has come back and asked for some more properties to be added to the document types which we have done for them after putting some content on to the site.
To get the updated document types available to them, we have basically recreated the steps we carried out on our development server on the live server, but is this the best way to do this?
Sorry for the probably daft questions, but this is only my 6th day with Umbraco!
There is a paid for add on for Umbraco called Courier: http://umbraco.com/products/more-add-ons/courier that is meant to make deploying content from a dev/staging site to a live site pretty straightforward. I've not used it myself, so I can't comment on how good it is or how well it works! I know some of the other guys use it though, hopefully one of them will chime in with some more useful info!
