Just a short question - I need to migrate an umbraco site from MSSQL to MySQL, how can I do this in the least cumbersome way? Do you know of any cool utilities that can at least.. hehe.. ease the pain?
Is it "only" content that needs to be migrated? You should check out the CMS import package by Richard Soeteman I think.
It's possible to enter a connection string to the MSSQL database and then map the fields to the properties on your content nodes. I suppose it's possible for you to export the document types and import them?
Yes - primarily content, but also all the other stuff and I have 5 sites or so that needs to be converted, so if I can automate the most of it, it will be the best solution. I'm trying Viobo MSSQL to MySQL Converter, I'll post my findings.

Hi Simon
You're welcome.
Ok, so it's a biiit more complex than what I suggested...then I'm "off road" :-)
But will look forward to see your postings about the progress.
