    MVC with Umbraco?

I'm learning MVC and I'm wondering if I can somehow start using it on my existing Umbraco site. How would that work exactly?

Right now I'm running Umbraco 4.5.2 and using .NET user controls when I want to add enhanced functionality.

I'm seeking advice. I'm an MVC newbie.

Umbraco 5 will support MVC3 and it's first beta as far as i know is scheduled on the summer.
there are people who tried to add the functionallity of MVC to 4 but i know there are difficulties.
my advice is to start learning the concept of Umbraco and Razor and wait for 5.

    Hi tesuji

As Eran is saying MVC 3 will be supported in Umbraco 5.

It's expected that there will be a release of Umbraco 5 at Code Garden in mid-june so 5 is really only a couple of month's away :-)

    /Jan

Can you point me to info about MVC in Umbraco 5?

Would I still use User Controls to extend functionality?
How will it be different to work in as a developer?
Can I upgrade easily from Umbraco 4x? Will it break any existing functionality?

i do know there won't be an upgrade from 4 since they are building it from fresh

you can watch the video from BE Festival about Umbraco 5 http://www.buug.be/en/events/umbraco-festival
