Feature Request: Replacing characters for filenames on upload
It would be great if you could implement a filename replacing functionality for media files. This function should replace illegal or unwanted characters in the file name based on a list defined in a config file. There's this wiki article, but I agree having it the core makes a lot more sense. Content editors shouldn't have to think about this (because they won't anyway).
