Hello! I'm new to umbraco and I currently have a Joomla news portal. I need to know a few things about umbraco before start setting it up!
Is it possible to handle many news articles groupped in categories? Is it possible to dynamically fetch latest 5 for example articles in the home page along with their image and the first two lines of text? thanx! :)
Strongly suggest to take a look at umbraco.tv for a quick overview of what umbraco is about and how it would fit your requirements, more specifically about the building blocks document types, templates, macros, etc..

Once you're familiar with the concepts, it'll be a breeze to convert your "thingy" news portal over to umbraco.
