A site that we upgraded to Umbraco 4.5 several months ago has an intermittent problem where something will get messed up and afterwards, when navigating to the home page, we're redirected to the initial site configuration page.
We can load the back office just fine and the way to fix the problem is to just republish the site.
The question is, what may be causing this?
It has happened three times in the last 2 months.
While the site was down this last time, I looked at some of the page URLs the on the properties tab in the back office and noticed that they were all the site URL with a # appended on the end of it. e.g. (http://mywebsite.com#) It didn't matter which page I checked, they all had the exact same URL. I wonder if whatever caused this could be the source of the problem.
Has anyone ever seen a similar problem or have any ideas where we should look for the source of the problem?
