    PLEASE HELP!!

I've loked at al the docs etc... I can't seem to be able to find out how to create a brand new site for a different client:

I basically installed Umbraco via the web installer which installed Web Matrix. I then installed a starter kit and now I am ready to start creating my own using a different template.

Does it need a new database created? Do I need a new installation of Umbraco? etc etc.

Please could anybody give me some clues on what to do?

    Thanks very much!

    Hi Lee,

    Welcome to the forum.

    Have you watched these videos?

There is no need to install a new database, you can either edit the existing templates, or add your own.

    Hi Rich

    Thanks for your reply.

I did look at the videos but I'm not that used to CMS's. If I create a new empty site, what do i then do to apply a template?

    Cheers

    Yes... these seem much better.

How do you login to the admin section, what is the URL and where does Umbraco get installed to?

    Cheers Rich

    Hey Lee,

Umbraco installs to wherever you specified in the installer.

To get to the admin section you must type /umbraco/ after the site name, for example.
