After login I am presented with some content panels e.g "Make it look great" and "Go Further".
I'm wondering if it's possible to change these panels to include custom content.
For instance I could have one panel to announce importantant events that may be of interest to people who have logged in.
I have search the forum but can't find anythig about it.
I hope that someone might be able to help please.

All of these panels are plain usercontrols and you can add your own, or remov the existing ones by configuring the dashboard.config file which resides in the /config folder.
