First of all, I'm sorry for my bad English and I'm newbie in umbraco as well as .NET, and it's my first time posting a question so I dont know which box to post. So I chose 'General'.
I've been trying for hours finding a way to export data from umbraco in order to import to wordpress but no hope.
Contour is for posted forms only, when you have purchased contour.
You could try send-to-translation and submit the entire website, then you get a pretty big XML file containing all the pages. If you also need site structure that it would be a bit more difficult.
You could also look at the XML nodecache that exists in your app data folder (Umbraco.config), this is a complete XML of pretty much everything umbraco renders on pages...
How you would go about importing this into wordpress is not my expertise.
How to export data from Umbraco? Plz help!
Hi,
First of all, I'm sorry for my bad English and I'm newbie in umbraco as well as .NET, and it's my first time posting a question so I dont know which box to post. So I chose 'General'.
I've been trying for hours finding a way to export data from umbraco in order to import to wordpress but no hope.
I've watched this: http://umbraco.com/help-and-support/video-tutorials/umbraco-pro/contour/export-your-data-with-one-click.aspx but It's totally different to what I see in my umbraco's backend.
I've checked every section in backend but there no function for me to export my stuff.
Is there a way I can export all of my pages content in backend?
Plz help!

maybe you want to look at this: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/import-html-pages/screenshots/
vinh,
Take a look at http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/eyecatch-xml-export you could tweak it to export to blogml format ready for wordpress import. I am looking at exporting to sql and Richard Soeteman just sent me this link.
