    Moving Umbraco from Dev Server to Live

    General

    Hi,

    I have been developing an Umbraco site using Microsoft WebMatrix, so the site runs from http://localhost:23343,

    but on the Live site it will be run from http://www.livedomain.com/umbraco/

    Can this be achieved or are there underlying issues?

    What do I need to do/What config changes do I need to make? to get this to work?

    I assume that your host has been setup to support Web Matrix deployment using the underlying MS Web Deploy technology. If the site on the live domain has been seup as a web-application not virtual directory, then I don't see why this would be a problem. 

    I would keep in mind however that umbraco uses /umbraco for the backend. So your path to the backend will now be http://livedomain.com/umbraco/umbraco/umbraco.aspx. ;
