    migration of data from old version to new version of Umbraco

    Hi Experts!

    Could anyone help me in finding the steps to migrate data (text and images) from the live version (3.0) of website to the beta version(development version in 4.7)?

    I am looking for an easier way as the website has around 120pages and around 300+ images to be moved to development environment!!! I am thinking in lines of FTP if possible.

    Sri,

    Bit late now but it would have been better for you to have created a copy of the v3 site and upgraded it to v4.7 then done the build.  There are no export import tools for v3. There is CMSImport for importing in v4.7 however you would still need to figure out way to exporting v3 content to csv or sql server.  You could write something yourself to spit out the content from v3 as csv then use CMSImport to import that csv file into v4.7

    Thanks for your reply Ismail. should have done that early but unfortunately it did not happen that way!! I am not an expert with umbraco and I would much appreciate if you can guide me in writing an export stuff for 3.0.
