Anyone tried to integration umbraco with Perfion ?
Hey Guys and Girls : )
As said in the title, im looking for people who have tried to integrate Perfion Database with Umbraco, if its just easy mode and out of the box or if there is some bottlenecks and such ?
I've worked on a project with that requirement - we worked close with the developers of Perfion to make it possible for Umbraco (or another .NET based product, really) to talk to Perfion. I had to leave the project about a year ago, when I started my own business, so I don't know how everything is working now, but at the time Perfion provided some .NET controls (built during the project) with some standard functionality built-in. The great thing was that the standard renderings were done with XSLT (I might have had a finger or two in that decision :-) and the controls provided a way to use your own XSLT for rendering.
I remember that the XML wasn't very XSLT-friendly, though - more like "XML from MSSQL" - but that may have changed since...
I could probably get you connected with someone who's been knee deep into this since, if you (and they :-) want ...
